GREAT job last week, everyone! We actually recorded a shot or two for your production! Today we're going to review that footage as a team, while the 1st AD revises the schedule, and prepare all of our resources and materials for shooting. If we get this done quickly, we could actually go record today!

Today we will go to the studio and rehearse a full setup and run-through for recording so that everyone on the team knows what to expect, and how to do their job. You will be earning 5 pts per day for completing your duties and responsibilities, and are accountable to your 1st AD and to me for your performance.
Each Department must ensure that they have documentation in the Binder of the work they have done over the last week and a half. This is a 10-point grade. Work on this while your 1st AD finishes the schedule, and be prepared to give him/her your email address. Put your Name on your work in the Binder in order to receive credit!!!
The 1st AD will lead today's activities. Everyone needs to get their copy of the script and follow the 1st AD's directions for "Breaking Down" the script into eighths of a page. You'll number those sections, and then the 1st AD will share a Calendar with you. You will need to add your Calendar to iCal on your computer. Tomorrow, we go "on location" for a practice shoot to demonstrate Shooting Sequence. You will be evaluated on your preparation and participation in all activities, for 5 points per day.
Pick up a copy of the Script Quiz from the Substitute. Put your name on the top, and your class period. When she tells you to begin, you will have 5 minutes to complete the Script Quiz. You must hand in the script quiz when she calls time.
Once the script quiz is finished, go to Blendspace to pick up where your Department left off. 3rd period "The Girl" still owes me a shopping list for makeup--this means someone isn't doing their JOB!! 10 minutes before the end of class, the Director and 1st AD should CALL A MEETING---figure out WHO is bringing in Wardrobe, Makeup and Props from the "Bring/Borrow" list. That should be here next Wednesday--we're going to do a practice shoot! Go to the Music Video page to discover what your Department must accomplish during Pre-Production.
Pick up a copy of the Script from the Substitute. Put your Name on the top (where it says "Name"!).
CIRCLE each Location. UNDERLINE names of Characters. DRAW A BOX around any props that will be held by actors. PUT A STAR next to any scene that will require use of the Green Screen. DRAW AN ARROW to any mention of Wardrobe. At the bottom of the script, or on the back, write a 2-sentence summary of what happens in the Script. (Warning, this means you will actually have to READ the entire script. And YES, there will be quiz this week on the Script.) TURN IN your Script to the Substitute before you leave today. When you are done with the Script Analysis, go to the Blendspace lesson for directions that are specific to your Department. Work with your Department to complete your task. Go HERE to start planning out our Music Video, by Department.
