Our 3 Directors will combine the Café Wars projects today. Our Film Festival is on Thursday, April 28th, which means that the WHOLE SHOW has to be done before then. SO....each segment is due---exported in H264---on Wednesday April 20th. Exported Quick Time file should be uploaded to my Google Drive folder HERE. Your team will attempt to earn 20 points for the segment, which should include:
Seniors: Continue work on the Final Portfolio. You should print and submit your Celtx Script today, so that I can read and approve it before Monday. This is for a grade.
Everyone Else: Watch this episode of "Chopped" with your headphones on to compare your Audio, Effects and Editing Style to the original show. What changes need to be made? After you are done watching the episode, re-group according to your assignments (See the post below about what's due today) and continue editing. We will finish this project----for a grade---next week. The more you do today, the less pressure you are under next week. Seniors: Ignore everything written below. Go to the FINAL PORTFOLIO PAGE immediately.
Everyone else: We will take FULL advantage of our 2-hour work sessions this week. See below for your Individual and Team deadlines.
DON'T FORGET: Second Unit has uploaded their footage for use in our segments. Download HERE. Also, HERE are some still images of the kitchen to use with Green Screen interviews. I received this email from a local Producer over Spring Break. Let me know if you are interested!
Hello, I hope this email finds you doing well. I wanted to reach out to gauge yours and your student’s interest in a unique video project that the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce is hoping to launch this spring. Every year, the Chamber holds its Armed Forces Banquet to honor and celebrate the military community in our local area. During this year’s 37th annual banquet on Saturday May 21st, the Chamber will present the Steve Schiff Kirtland Air Force Base Advocacy Award, the Lt. Gen. Leo Marquez Veteran of the Year Award, the Kirtland Spouse of the Year Award, as well as honor several outstanding individuals from each branch of the military. The Chamber has traditionally struggled with ways to introduce their military branch honorees in an exciting and unique way as opposed to just reading their bio. In order to honor these outstanding individuals in a way we all feel they deserve, the Chamber is interested in showing introduction videos at the banquet for each of their 8 military branch honorees. The Chamber feels that this would be a great opportunity for middle and high school video teams to get involved, learn about the military groups in our local area, and learn more about creating interesting introduction videos. I have offered my expertise to help create some structure to this project and clearly convey the Chamber’s needs to the students. We have briefly discussed what this would require of the students involved, and believe 2-3 hours of filming plus a few hours of editing would be required to produce these 2-3 minute introduction videos. Their goal is to have final videos ready to go by Friday May 6th. If you and your students are intrigued by this opportunity, please reply to this email and CC Aryn LaBrake at [email protected]. If there is enough interest in this project, we will gather everyone for a quick meeting to discuss logistics. Thank you for your time! -- Phillip Torres Owner/Producer (505)459-7253 [email protected] www.conceptflux.com www.vimeo.com/conceptflux |
