Recording Footage for your Portfolio Reflection: Thurs. 12/3 through Mon. 12/7You can record during class, during lunch, or check out equipment and take it home to record! However you choose to do it, you MUST complete recording by the end of the day on Monday. After that, the cameras get locked away for the holiday break, and we are editing. You'll have 2 days to edit, and then you must assemble and submit your Portfolio by Friday 12/11.
It's a short, short week with a lot going on. Did you know that we only have two weeks left before Final Exam Week? True story. Here's what we're up to:
The Substitute has the list of people working on the Sci-Fi Trailer, and those who signed up for "No-Fi". Science Fiction Teams will continue to record this week during class. No-Fi students will complete Activity #16 on Blendspace. Check equipment out, and back in, with Winter. Return from filming by 8:45 for equipment checks.
A few brave adventurers have chosen to continue with the competition---hooray! Class time is set aside from now until next Tuesday to complete shooting and editing; we have to submit your Trailer next Tuesday, Nov. 24th during class. Remember, I'm gone Thursday and Friday, so I'll meet with you regarding equipment.
Those folks not participating in the SciFi Competition will complete a series of alternate assignments to earn daily points. Check this Blog daily for instructions. Tues., 11/17: Complete Item #14 on Blendspace; directions are included. Well, it looks like you have 2 assignments to complete today! (No one edits today.)
Guess you better get to work:
Principal Editors will continue to edit your Social Media Project. Leave them alone so they can concentrate! EP and Adrian, you need THIS.
Everyone Else: Using item #11 on Blendspace, complete your SciFi Genre Notes. I will be collecting those via Google Drive today. When you are done, go to the SciFi Mad Libs activity and have some fun! We will use this game to start coming up with project ideas for your Trailer. Time to play musical chairs! But before we do....
We're in Phase 4 of 5 in our Schueler Social Media Project....the finish line is CLOSE! Your team will need to select a Principal Editor, who will do most of the editing in Premiere, and a Secondary Editor who can step in if the Principal is absent or needs help.
Everyone else will be moving on to the SciFi Project as of Thursday. Start talking with other classmates about ideas, and form small teams. We'll also be changing the seating arrangement on Thursday, so be sure to save all of your materials to your Google Drive. Don't know how? Follow these directions: Saving to Google Drive. |
